First-World Cat Problems

No species has had to face such harsh reality as the house cat. Revered for centuries in ancient Egypt and prized aboard ships of old as the resident rodent police, they now have been demoted to merely pets.
Forced to live a life in which their humans pay attention to them only 75% of the time, they suffer with quiet dignity. In this strange new world, there is no guarantee that their food bowl will remain at full capacity at all times, and for some reason their humans will not allow them to eat at the dinner table like a civilized creature.
