Law enforcement is teaming with local organizations to present a class this Thursday evening (April 24) in Danville to educate local business owners about preventing retail theft.

Danville Police officers, along with U.S. Secret Service officials, will be on hand to provide information about issues such as loss prevention, detecting counterfeit currency and local crime trends.

The free Retail Safety Seminar is set to run from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Veterans Memorial Building, 400 Hartz Ave. in downtown Danville.

The event is presented by the town of Danville, Danville Area Chamber of Commerce and Discover Danville Association.

The seminar is open to business owners in Danville, Alamo, Blackhawk and Diablo. To RSVP or receive other information, contact the Danville chamber at 834-4400.
