The San Ramon Valley Unified School District has scheduled information nights for parents interested in learning more about the kindergarten and transitional kindergarten programs.

The kindergarten informational events will take place Feb. 4 at John Baldwin Elementary in Danville and Feb. 5 at Coyote Creek Elementary in San Ramon, with each running from 6-7 p.m. in the school’s multipurpose room.

Children who turn 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2014 are eligible for kindergarten during the 2014-15 school year.

The information nights for transitional kindergarten – a hybrid program designed to help children bridge the preschool and kindergarten years – are scheduled for Jan. 29 at Quail Run Elementary and Jan. 30 at Neil Armstrong Elementary, both in San Ramon. Each event will run from 6-7 p.m. in the multipurpose room.

Transitional kindergarten in 2014-15 will be open to students who turn 5 years old between Sept. 2 and Dec. 2 of this year.

Online enrollment for 2014-15 kindergarten and transitional kindergarten doesn’t begin until Feb. 6. For additional information about both programs, visit the SRVUSD website and click on the “Enroll Your Child” tab.
