Principal Shaun McElroy and parent advisor Gaby Ghorbani organized this new club to encourage students to "give back" to their community. The students have whole-heartedly embodied their club motto: "Be the Change!" With supplies donated by Alamo Safeway and Alamo Rotary, the Youthact Club managed to "build, bag, and box" close to 500 sandwiches in less than 30 minutes.
"Stone Valley and Monte Vista students are really Can-Do Kids. Whatever they put their minds and hands to, they accomplish with pride!" said Alamo Rotarian sponsor Bill Randall, who taught at Stone Valley for 15 years.
