Sadness in town

Once again the Town of Danville has made headlines around the world, but this time it was due to a tragedy. Sgt. Erv Romans, one of the four policemen slain in Oakland two weeks ago, was a Danville resident. Oakland Police Department's loss and the family's loss was also a loss for the Danville community.

Thank you Sgt. Romans for your service to our country, Oakland and Danville - you are missed. I attended your service in Oakland where you were surrounded by friends, family, co-workers and regular caring citizens like myself. Thank you, again...
