The Wolves played their EBAL rival De La Salle Spartans and again the pitching was poor, but the hitting was not there either. The Wolves were shut out 6-0. What made the loss even worse is that the Wolves' head baseball coach for more than 25 years was coaching for the Spartans. He was coaching at a field named after him because it was a home game for the Wolves.
At least the wolves ended the week on a positive note beating Livermore decisively, 7-2. The Wolves started the season undefeated in non-league play, but the EBAL is the best league in Northern California and the Wolves have started slow in league.
