Danville man to head Contra Costa Humane Society

Danville resident David Stegman has been named the new interim executive director of the Contra Costa Humane Society with offices in Pleasant Hill. Stegman, a longtime animal welfare advocate, has more than 35 years of nonprofit and government agency experience, most recently as executive director of both Tony La Russa's Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) and the Valley Humane Society.
