The San Ramon City Council will consider Tuesday (Aug. 12) whether to allow the town of Danville to replace a San Ramon city logo with a Danville town logo on a monument sign near the city/town limits on San Ramon Valley Boulevard.
Danville Town Manager Joe Calabrigo submitted a letter to the city of San Ramon in June requesting for the city entry sign to display Danville’s logo in the direction facing Danville.
The update to the monument would be made in an effort to inform motorists, cyclists and pedestrians of the city/town limits and when they are entering San Ramon or Danville, according to city officials.
If San Ramon City Council approves the resolution allowing the sign change, city staff would then issue an encroachment permit to the town of Danville to complete the logo replacement on the northbound side. The southbound side will continue to display San Ramon’s logo.
Also set for Tuesday’s meeting is a presentation of the certificate of achievement for excellence in financial reporting in the 2012-13 fiscal year awarded to finance division manager Candace Daniels by Mayor Bill Clarkson.
City Manager Greg Roger, will also provide an update on the new City Hall project, which is currently set to break ground Sept. 9.
The city council meeting is set to convene at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the city council chambers at 2222 Camino Ramon.
Makes sense .. travelling north on SRV Blvd. the sign should say Danville. Which fool decided to have the sign say SR?
I know it is all political but could a letter to San Ramon have taken care of this? It sounds like a no brainer and should be done, but I guess everything needs to get approval and take longer with government entitites involved. Now if they could approve and move on to more important things on the agenda that would be amazing.
