Four arrested in jewelry robbery

A daylight robbery of a ring valued at $25,000 resulted in the arrests of four people involved in the crime. Police were called to Smith Jewelers, 350 Railroad Avenue, at 2:38 p.m. Friday afternoon, on a report of a ring being stolen.

Scary to think that the seller took the precaution of going to a store to try and make the deal and something like that still happened. I've sold things via Craigslist and am nervous every time because of stories like these.

Great job Danville PD!!
The moral of the story: Please don't try to sell valuables on craigslist! It's only good for items under $100, and even then you need to be wary of scammers. Another option is having them meet you at the police station to complete the sale. It sucks that people can't use a great site like craigslist to unload their stuff, but it just isn't worth it.
