When PG&E offered me the opportunity to pay for three times the natural gas I actually used in December and early January, I turned to our Iron Horse corridor neighborhood e-exchanges to ask if they were provided an EQUAL OPPORTUNITY. It seems 417 residences in our corridor had been offered the opportunity to pay at least double what their normal usage was in prior years for the period.
Each of 417 residences reported that technicians had been to their homes looking for leaks at the meter as was my experience. Maybe PG&E can explain the leak detection program and its relationship to meter readings so you can inform all those neighbors I missed who might have had a similar result.
Quite curious, don't you think?
