No tricks up my sleeve

Uploaded: May 29, 2013
When we're kids we're taught to believe in everything and never stop dreaming. A few years go by and suddenly Santa Claus is a Coca Cola marketing ploy and you can directly ask the Tooth Fairy--aka dear old Mom and Dad--for a raise.

One of my favorite parts about being a child was the birthday party magician. I regularly attended birthday parties prominently featuring magicians, and to prove the faith I had in them and their magical ways, I would systematically go through all of their belongings and find the methods to their supposed "magic." Needless to say I was not their favorite audience member.

This video I post today, however, is a reminder of why it's good to believe in magic, and how things like a cup and ball can be marvelous and hilarious with some simple--what the heck, magical--sleight of hand.
