Canine Courage
This course is designed for children and youth (ages 5-14) who feel unsafe or hesitant around dogs to build their courage. A member of ARF's Pet Hug Pack will greet the students, so students can practice what they have learned on a calm, trained dog. The class will be on Tuesday, Dec. 9 at ARF in Walnut Creek. Parents are welcome to attend. Tony La Russa's Animal Rescue Foundation, 2890 Mitchell Drive, Walnut Creek.

Ban Busy: Time to Thrive Campaign
The team behind Race to Nowhere, Transforming Education from the Ground Up, presents their latest project from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 10 at Charlotte Wood Middle School in Danville. This campaign aims to bust the myth that busy is better. This discussion will focus on how making more time for play, creativity, exploration, family, friends and leisure makes students happier. Cub Scout Registration
Want to get your Elementary boy involved in Cub Scouts? Pack 809 is based out of John Baldwin Elementary School and welcomes boys from Danville, Alamo, Walnut Creek, and San Ramon. After-School Field Trips at the Farm
Forest Home Farms hosts after-school field trips, including Fun with Farm Animals, Behind-the-Scenes with Tractors, Dig in and Grow, and Preschool Fun at the Farm. Field trips are for groups of five children or more and can be booked Monday-Friday by calling 973-3284. Cost is $5 per child.
