'Candide'
Join young Candide, his beloved Cunegonde, the absurdly optimistic philosopher Pangloss, and a virtual clown car of other eccentric characters on their picaresque journey around the world in search of the meaning of life. "Candide" runs at 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13, and at 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 14-15 at Lesher Center for the Arts in Walnut Creek. Tickets are $25-$54. Call 943-7469. Role Players Ensemble Presents 'The Ladies Man'
In Belle Époque Paris, the newly married Dr. Molineaux tells one tiny, little lie to cover an innocent but embarrassing indiscretion. From that untruth tumbles a cascade of convoluted deceptions, misunderstandings and mistaken identities, and hilarity. Improv Playhouse
The Improv Playhouse of San Francisco specializes in that most difficult and dazzling of improvised high-wire acts, longform improv.
