I-680 accident at Diablo Road slowing traffic

An accident involving four vehicles was called into the Dublin California Highway Patrol office at 3:26 p.m. today, and by 4:15 p.m. southbound I-680 was still partially blocked.

Originally the two middle lanes were open and the two outside lanes were closed, said CHP Officer Tyler Hahn. There was some coolant and oil spread over some of the lanes, according to the log.

"They had to shut down the freeway for a couple minutes to get everything over to the right shoulder," he said. "There were minor injuries."
