SRV girls clinch fourth NCS title

Win 4-3 in sudden death OT against Foothill

The San Ramon Valley High School girls soccer team clinched its fourth consecutive North Coast Section 3A title when it beat Foothill High in sudden death overtime last night, 4-3.

The Wolves were the No. 2 seed in the NCS playoffs and the Foothill Falcons were the No. 1 team in the nation, going into the game played at Dublin High School at 5 p.m.

Their victory was followed by the SRV boys facing De La Salle for the championship. This game went into double overtime, with De La Salle winning, 1-0.

Congratulations to the Lady Wolves; they played with grit and determination. It was a most glorious moment to see the school triumph for the 4th consecutive win. So, Kudos to coach Mark and staff, you did a most wonderful job of stewardship. We are all so proud of your accomplishments girls!
