A 22-year-old Bay Point man was arrested June 2 in connection with a shooting of a Danville resident May 20, according to Lt. Mark Williams of the Danville Police Department.
Antwan Mouton was arrested in Concord on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, burglary and violation of parole, according to police reports. He was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility where he is being held without bail.
Mouton is believed to have shot a 52-year-old Danville man in his home in the 700 block of El Pintado Road. Police said the victim was shot in the upper torso and transported to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek. He has since been released, reports said.
Police said the victim and the suspect know each other and that the shooting wasn't a random act.
