Tri-Valley University brought students and spouses into U.S.

Times of India cites ministry report

Tri-Valley University not only brought students over to Pleasanton on illegal visas, but many of those students brought their spouses here as well, according to The Times of India.

The paper cites an Indian ministry report that says a number of immigrants got their spouses admitted at Tri-Valley, which helped them get an extended stay of up to eight years with illegal student work permits, or brought them into the United States through dependent H-4 visas, the report says.

Once in, some secured admission in accredited universities and got F-1 student visas. Later, many shifted to Tri-Valley, according to the report cited by The Times, which said the university gave them the opportunity to work from day one, although Tri-Valley was not authorized to do so.

Some Tri-Valley students used the same arrangement to fly their spouses to the U.S. The paper quotes a source that said many of those spouses enrolled at Tri-Valley "within just three to four days of landing in the U.S. with the help of agents in the U.S."

Under F-2 visas or dependent visas, spouses are not allowed to work. However, if a spouse were admitted into Tri-Valley University, he or she could immediately get a job. The university offered online courses that did not require students to attend classes, although that is required for student visa status.

Susan Xiao-Ping Su, the founder and president of Tri-Valley University and owner of two homes in Pleasanton, has been charged with money laundering, mail fraud and wire fraud.

The university -- apparently operated out of a small, two-story office space on Boulder Court -- and the two houses were part of a recent raid by federal officials from ICE, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement division of Homeland Security.

Court documents claim that Su ran an "elaborate fraud scheme" that netted millions of dollars from foreign nationals who hoped to become legal immigrants.

Su "made false statements and misrepresentations in petitions to DHS (Department of Homeland Security) to obtain student visas from the government," according to charges filed last month in U.S. District Court in Oakland. "Su and Tri-Valley University have made millions of dollars in tuition fees for issuing these visa related documents which enable foreign nationals (to) obtain illegal student immigrant status."

The document says Su used profits from her scam to buy five properties, including the two homes in Pleasanton raided by ICE -- at 2890 Victoria Ridge Court and 1371 Germano Way.

Su has recently defended herself in Indian newspapers, saying a Hyderabad company she worked with -- not her -- perpetuated the scam on students.

Many of those students were rounded up last week and released wearing ankle bracelets until their cases are sorted out.

Obama referred to a "Sputnik moment" for America due an educational challenge from China and India. But hundreds of thousands of Chinese and Indians make a beeline to American universities every year for higher education and India's education minister has been trying hard to bring American universities to India and was stopped only by me. India may produce more than half a million engineering graduates a year versus seventy thousand for the United States but four hundred thousand of these Indian engineering graduates will be hired just this year to work as software coolies for the United States. This is the problem with having a person of color as president; white Americans know Indians and Chinese are their slaves but not this president; a person of color cannot be the Americans' legitimate president.
Indians' slavery to whites is seen most starkly in this: I am India's expert in strategic defence and the father of India's strategic program, including the Integrated Guided Missile Development Program. In my blog titled 'Nuclear Supremacy For India Over U.S.', which can be found by a Yahoo search with the title, I have described how the C.I.A. keeps India poor, weak and enslaved: "India's greatest scientist and greatest living Indian publicly tortured in Harvard seminar, systematically and totally starved for up to 3 weeks at a time, made semi-starved and homeless and even blind for years, kept under 24-hour audio and video surveillance as well as surveillance of communications and electrical typewriter and computer use, document creation and photocopying, etc., by satellite for more than past 3 decades, systematically harassed and in poverty and neutralised and robbed of his work at the cost of hundreds of millions of dollars per year, robbed of crores in his money and property in India by C.I.A.-RAW, forced back into exile in the U.S., all with full cooperation and participation of India's RAW and India's C.I.A.-RAW-controlled prime ministers, politicians and media -- to keep India poor, weak and enslaved" and how this means the nuclear destruction of New Delhi and then the coast-to-coast destruction of the United States.
As I said in letters to the press at the time, Army Chief Gen. B. C. Joshi was killed by RAW for showing my influence in his comments about Indians going abroad for higher education. In a published letter to the press dated March 1, 2001, I had said "India's lazy and stupid generals spend their time saluting Criminal Blackie Slaves such as India's prime ministers & each other ... ." After that India's Army Chief had stopped saluting Vajpayee and used to send lower-rank officers to shake hands with him at the airport when he went on foreign trips as prime minister while Vajpayee saluted the officers. Before that in a letter to the press I had said that India's service chiefs should declare allegiance to me. They can still do that.

The first poster above is pretty clearly a nut. But it is true that graduate degree programs in the sciences and engineering at US universities are largely populated with foreign students, mostly from Asia, but also from Europe. This is somewhat less true at the undergraduate level.

Probably the vast majority of these foreign graduate students end up working in the US, or perhaps teaching at US universities themselves. So this is perhaps a "brain infusion" for the US. But it does beg the question as to why there are relatively few US-born graduate students in the sciences and engineering disciplines.

In any case, it has little to do with the apparent immigration scam that was being propogated by Tri-Valley "University"...

The reality is that we are in a transitional period towards a global economy with minimal restraints. This process has been underway in this part of the globe ever since the first Asians entered North America more than 10,000 years ago.

India can provide all the students going abroad for postgraduate studies with comparable or better education within India in just a matter of one year. The content of all the courses -- mostly in engineering and science -- that Indians take in U.S. and other universities is available in books that can be purchased in tens of thousands of copies each. Thousands of Indians who teach engineering and science courses in the U.S. can be hired at comparable salaries to teach in India -- hired through private institutions if government rules don't allow giving them such high salaries. Laboratory equipment can be purchased and laboratories set up in a matter of months and a year is plenty of time to build the necessary class rooms and hostels. All this will cost a fraction of the approximately ten billion dollars per year Indians spend on higher education abroad. The reason Indians go abroad for higher education is the cachet attached to foreign degrees and the prospect of a job abroad at Western salary levels -- but the cachet attached to foreign degrees and the economic disparity exist due to the same reason for which India wastes billions upon billions of dollars on worthless fighter aircraft and other equipment and does not build thousands of nuclear-armed missiles capable of reaching the United States: both are expressions of slavery to the white man. I am India's expert in strategic defence, the father of India's strategic program including the Integrated Guided Missile Development Program and the world's greatest scientist with forty four years of experience -- including ten years of postgraduate studies -- in the United States and elaborations on the above are in my blog titled 'Nuclear Supremacy For India Over U.S.' which can be found by a Yahoo search with the title.
