Diablo Symphony Orchestra plays selections from 'Carmen'

The Diablo Symphony Orchestra will feature highlights from Bizet's "Carmen" as the orchestra completes its 50th season. Also included in the program are Brahms' "Hungarian Dance no.5" and a special treat with the Ritual Fire Dance by De Falla. Performances at 8 p.m. on Friday, May 17 at Rossmoor Fireside Room and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 19 at the Lesher Arts Center in Walnut Creek. Tickets are $25 adults and $10 children. Call 943-7469.
