State senator hosts annual holiday open house

About 100 people turned out to State Senator Mark DeSaulnier's annual holiday open house the evening of Dec. 18, taking advantage of the chance to speak with their elected representative, mingle with his staff and tour his Walnut Creek office.

"It's always a good event, usually fun and work for me," the second-term senator said.

DeSaulnier (D-Concord) represents California's 7th Senatorial District, consisting of portions of Contra Costa and Alameda counties.

In addition to Danville, the district includes Brentwood, Antioch, Pittsburg and Concord to the north, Orinda, Lafayette and Walnut Creek to the west, and Pleasanton and Livermore to the south.
