The Danville Town Council on Tuesday (March 18) is set to consider authorizing a new three-way stop sign at Lawrence Road and Jasmine Way to improve traffic safety in the area.
The discussion is listed among several open-session items for the council's regular meeting, set to convene at 7:30 p.m. inside the Town Meeting Hall, 201 Front St.
In other business, council members will debate a resolution confirming the cost of a recent nuisance abatement as a special assessment on the property, a home on Lowell Drive. Town officials say the price tag exceeded $73,000 for addressing a significant rodent and trash problem at the home.
The council will also receive reports from the police chief, the Danville Arts Commission chair and Danville's representative on the Contra Costa Transportation Authority Citizens Advisory Committee.
