Contra Costa County's Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Advisory Board is looking to fill several open seats.
The AOD board is made up of 18 volunteers, appointed by the Board of Supervisors, who evaluate the community's needs regarding alcohol/drug abuse prevention, treatment and recovery. Members will have the opportunity to help local government develop and improve policies regarding drugs and alcohol.
Applicants must be 16 years or older and live in Contra Costa County. The AOD is looking for applicants from all five supervisorial districts.
AOD board members must attend monthly meetings held on the fourth Wednesday of each month from 4-6:15 p.m. They are also expected to serve on one or more committees, which also meet monthly.
Members usually serve three-year terms.
