Road closures set as cycling event rolls through San Ramon Valley

Amgen Tour of California's Stage 3 to ride from San Jose to Mount Diablo on Tuesday

The Amgen Tour of California professional cycling competition is set to roll through the eastern part of the San Ramon Valley on Tuesday afternoon (May 13).

Stage 3 of the race starts in San Jose at 10:45 a.m. and will end at the top of Mount Diablo.

Racers will ride north from Livermore and through the Valley from about 1:30-4:30 p.m. and the California Highway Patrol will conduct rolling closures of streets impacted by Stage 3 riders.

Closures are set to occur on Camino Tassajara (starting at the Highland Road intersection), Blackhawk Road and Mt. Diablo Scenic Boulevard. The rolling closures will run until the competitors and their support vehicles finish riding through the area.
