The town of Danville and city of San Ramon have joint plans to install a new entry sign for drivers coming into Danville from the south.
The sign will be located at the south entry into Danville on San Ramon Valley Boulevard and will carry the distinctive oak tree logo, the town's official symbol based on the iconic Danville Old Oak Tree.
Danville, in a cooperative effort with San Ramon, will update the existing granite plinth that is currently standing and incorporate a new greeting sign with the tree logo.
Construction is set to take place in the fall of 2014 and should cause minimal effect on traffic in the area, according to Danville town officials.
