Martha Draper, longtime resident of Pleasanton, passed peacefully away on May 29th at Kaiser Hospital in Walnut Creek with her family at her side.
Martha was originally from Tennessee but moved to Pleasanton in 1979 to be with her family. She worked in retail for many years ending up at Emporium-Capwell in Pleasanton. For the past 22 years she lived at Ridgeview Commons where she will be greatly missed by all who knew her for her caring ways and intelligence, not to mention her skill as a poker player.
She leaves behind her children, Katie Riggins (Chris), Jim Draper (Rori), Blake Draper (Judy), and Garland Draper (Skip Means), as well as her much loved grandchildren Grant, Claire, Daphne, Skyler, Jillian, and James and 5 great grandchildren. She was such a presence in all our lives, as well as many others and will be greatly missed.
At Martha's request there will be no service. All who know her remember her passion for birds and bugs, creatures and critters, so any one wanting honor her memory can choose from an organization like the Nature Conservancy.
