Ann Barnhisel Anderson

Ann Barnhisel Anderson passed away in her Danville home Jan. 6. She was born in County Cork, Ireland, on April 24, 1909, one of eight children.

She immigrated to America in 1954. She was an avid Giants and 49ers fan, and she also loved to dance and to travel. She was a member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, the Emerald Social Club, the Danville Seniors, and the Grandmothers Club.

She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Gilbert Anderson; her daughter Maureen Schreiber; and her youngest brother, Dan Harrington of Clonakelty, Ireland. She is also survived by three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A rosary was held Jan. 10 at Wilson and Kratzer Chapel of San Ramon Valley; a funeral Mass was celebrated Jan. 11 at St. Isidore's Catholic Church in Danville. Interment is at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Lafayette. Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice, 6500 Dublin Blvd., Dublin 94568.

Michael Charles Barnett

Michael Charles Barnett, a former resident of Danville, died Jan. 5, in Playa Del Rey at the age of 30.

He was born Aug. 7, 1976, in Long Beach, and attended St. Isidore Catholic School in Danville and De La Salle High School in Concord. He was a graduate of Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles where he majored in film production.

He was a talented independent film editor, and started two film production companies: Squeak Street and Aisle Five Studios.

He is survived by his parents, Charles and Dianne Barnett; brother and sisters John, Barbara and Christine Barnett; grandmother Olympia Charney; and nephews Matthew and Spencer Brown, and Andrew Barnett.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Jan. 15 at St. Isidore Catholic Church. Donations may be sent to the Scholarship Fund at St. Isidore Catholic School, 440 La Gonda Way, Danville 94526, in memory of Michael Barnett.
