Resident finds youth drunk in back yard

Danville police cited a 17-year-old teenager from San Ramon Valley High School for being drunk in public on Garrigan Court early Sunday morning.

Officer Dean Soltis issued a ticket to the youth for being drunk in a resident's back yard at 3:05 a.m., Sunday, Jan. 21, after the resident called police.

"The reports said he was disoriented and he was unable to stand on his own," said Danville Sgt. Troy Craig. "He just wandered back there."

The homeowners saw him and called the police, Craig said. After Soltis cited the youth, his parents came to pick him up. He had a blood alcohol content of .206, Craig said.
