19-year-old arrested for drunken driving

Police arrested a 19-year-old Danville resident for driving under the influence on Houston Court and Quinterra Lane in Danville last weekend.

Danville patrolman Eric Nygard was conducting residential checks when he made contact with the young adult, who was driving a 2001 white Honda Civic around 1:42 a.m., Saturday, March 31, said Sgt. Troy Craig. Two of his friends were passengers.

Nygard evaluated the 19-year-old and arrested him on suspicion of drunken driving. He was found to have a blood alcohol level of .112, according to police reports, and the suspect was released to his mother.

"Don't drink and drive," Craig.
