Thanks for taking us along

Danville Weekly turns 2 - and is quite the world traveler

As we at the Danville Weekly celebrate our second anniversary, we look through our files at happy readers who have taken us, their hometown newspaper, all over the world. So far we have received 265 photos, taken in 21 states, 61 countries and all seven continents, including two from Antarctica. Wow!

You know what? We love every photo - the spectacular shots with gorgeous backgrounds, the little kids who sometimes look less than happy to be posing in the hot sun, and the couples with the severely wrinkled papers that were obviously crammed into a carryon for many miles.

If you send in a photo and it doesn't appear, please be patient. We put them all in the file to be used more or less in order, although for this issue we chose some of the better shots.

Thanks so much to all of you who have taken us along on your adventures plus gone to the trouble to get a photograph of yourselves with the paper and send it to us. It's not always easy to set up that shot.

We have a big map of the world hanging in our office with pins to show where the Danville Weekly has traveled. Drop by at 315 Diablo Road to check it out.
