Town accepts senior survey

The Danville Town Council accepted a senior needs study at its last meeting, held Tuesday, June 5. The survey gathered information regarding senior perspectives, from ages 55 and older, toward town programs that cater to their needs.

"I appreciate the information," said Councilwoman Candace Andersen. "I think it's a step in the right direction."

"We are on the same page," said Councilman Newell Arnerich. "It's a great step."

Approximately 71 percent expressed satisfaction with senior services in the community. BW Research Partnership conducted the study, and around 500 seniors were surveyed by phone. Town staff is using the data to come up with ways to better provide services for seniors.
