Albertson's remains auctioned off

The last remaining remnants of the Albertsons on Diablo Road in Danville were auctioned off last Thursday when about 40 people, including auctioneers, store owners and dealers, gathered at Green Valley Center to clear the store of shelves, fixtures and equipment, previously used to display food and beverages.

Pieces of the shelving went for about $100 and the auction lasted about three hours. Dealers in attendance, who came in from out of town, said they planned to resell the shelves online.
