Perspective - August 10, 2007

asked at the Danville Art and Wine Stroll

Do you agree with the saying, "In wine, there is truth"?

Because it's truth serum? Yeah, I do. It breaks down the veneer you've got on all day and opens you up. You can't hide what you're really feeling. Ultimately, that's good if you can remember it the next day.

Maybe after the fourth glass. Things come out that wouldn't normally and that can be good or bad. I like a good glass of wine - a dry Cab.

John Ronda

American Pacific Finance

I do definitely. I don't think you have a choice about it. I actually got an "In Vino Veritas" tattoo on my forearm about six or seven months ago. I've worked in restaurants all my life and I spent two-and a-half years in Napa.

Yes, but you don't have to drink too much. I know wine goes a long way with health and enjoyment. It's a way for people to come together for excitement and comedy. I'm from Scotland and we always had a little wine and cheese. It's a good conversational tool.

Nana-Dictta Graves

professional artist

I kind of do. I find that perfect strangers will be willing to talk - not just about the wine. You shed your inhibitions and it's a nice group of people to do that with here (in Danville).
