Streetwise

asked in downtown danville

How do you think Danville is perceived by the rest of the Bay Area?

As a quaint little town. A great, lovely place to have dinner on a nice summer evening. I think there are still community values, like at the Fourth of July parade, although it's getting bigger. I work in Danville and live in San Ramon.

The Danville bubble. The rich town where everyone drives BMWs and Mercedes. I went to Monte Vista and played sports, swimming and water polo, and the other teams would think we're all snobby.

When I was at De La Salle High School and had friends from Pittsburg or wherever come here and see Blackhawk they'd say, "You're living the life here." I've always worked for my stuff but I'd look at friends who had everything given to them. But if I got to choose where to live, I would choose here.

As a real homey, small town atmosphere. And friendly. I've lived here over 30 years and it still has that small town feeling. There is no way I'd move away.

Nancy Morrill

I would say it's in its own bubble. I lived here before and people would call me "Bubble Boy" that I met through sports and traveling. Now I live in Pleasant Hill.
