Robbers zap resident

Three robbers allegedly invaded a Danville man's home and zapped him with a shock device Thursday evening, Oct. 4, said Danville police Sgt. Troy Craig.

The suspects invaded the victim's home on the 700 block on El Pintado Road where they tied his wrists and feet. They zapped him with a "Taser" device and stole several items, including the victim's gray GMC Yukon Denali.

The victim managed to free himself and sought his neighbor's help. Police arrived at the scene around 11:50 p.m.

The victim was taken to Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Walnut Creek where he was treated for injuries, including several burns from the stun gun, police said.

As of Tuesday, the police said they have no new leads on the case. If anyone has any information regarding this incident, call the Danville Police Department at 314-3700. The license number of the GMC Yukon Denali is 5TYB501.
