Outfit family for the snow

Get ready for ski season, at the San Ramon Valley High School Ski and Snow Board Swap. The popular annual event is taking place from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday-Sunday, Nov. 3-4; admission is $5, with children under 14 free with an adult.

The SRVHS Parent Teacher Student Association hosts the swap, which has evolved during 30 years from a garage sale concept to the largest ski and snowboard swap in Contra Costa County. It offers more than $1 million in inventory brought by residents as well as large retailers offering goods at bargain prices to fill the new cafeteria and the gym. Resorts and ski clubs also will be represented.

Community members are invited to sell their own equipment on consignment and are asked to preregister to save time during check-in. Visit danville.com/skiswap or contact event chairwoman Jackie Lawrence at 876-1948.
