Asked in downtown Danville

If the San Ramon Valley were being evacuated because of an approaching firestorm, where would you go?

I would not head to Sacramento because it's too dry. I'd head up to Benicia. It's not high density. I think that it helps when you are on the other side of the bridge.

Flip Moore

retired nurse

I don't think you would have a chance to go anywhere. It would be total gridlock. I don't think there's anywhere to drive during an emergency.

Caren Untiedt

retired secretary

I'd go to Castro Valley because I have family there. My parents live and my sister live there. It's a safe haven. They can never say no.

I would go through the largest area which has the least fuel for fire. You have to search on Google and find what area has nothing to burn. You've got to find someplace that has nothing to burn. Around here it's going to be hard. It's full of bushes and valleys. Maybe head toward the reservoir. It's pretty scary. The firestorm in San Diego and L.A., I have some friends down there. My heart goes out to them. It could happen to us.

Jeffrey Fall

I would go to L.A. because my family is down there. Now, I wouldn't go down there. But generally I would.
