Donate your old bikes

The bicycle elves at St. Timothy's Church in Danville are gearing up for this year's program to repair donated bikes to give to children and adults through Adopt A Family programs at Monument Crisis Center and the Salvation Army of Concord. Bikes can be dropped off at St. Timothy's, 1550 Diablo Road, any time before Dec. 1.

Volunteers also are needed to help repair the bikes. Dave Struck, who heads up the program, can be reached on his cell phone at (510) 612-5959 with any questions or to offer help. E-mail dtarstruck@yahoo.com. Receiving these bikes has literally changed people's lives since they are often their only means of transportation.
