Ronald Nicholas Borrelli, a resident of Danville, died Nov. 3 as a result of brain cancer.
He was born Dec. 1, 1933, in San Francisco. He grew up in San Leandro and graduated from San Leandro High School in 1952. He graduated from UC Berkeley in 1957 with a B.S. degree in electrical engineering. He was a member of AKL Fraternity. In June of 1957, he married Linda Stohr, his fellow friend and classmate since seventh grade.
He was co-founder of Zehntel Inc. of Walnut Creek. He was a member of Crow Canyon Country Club and an IEEE Lifetime Member. In his retirement, he was a supporter of Senior Helpline Services in Lafayette. His pastimes included sailing on the Bay, spending time at the family cabin in Lake Tahoe, playing poker with his cousins, playing tennis, making pasta, and helping others through his wealth of computer knowledge. He and Linda traveled the world and visited family in Italy.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Linda; daughters Nancy Doyle (Rick), Suzy Frantz, Carol Warrington (Mark), and Janice Alamillo (Larry); nine grandchildren; his brother Gary Borrelli of Moraga; and his sister Geri Ashe, of Half Moon Bay.
