Renowned Blackhawk Chorus performing

The Blackhawk Chorus will perform its holiday concert tonight at 8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 7, at Peace Lutheran Church in Danville. And the 140-member chorus will take the stage again at 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, at the Interstake Center at Temple Hill in Oakland. The performances will include a crowd-pleasing gospel version of "Jesus, Oh What a Wonderful Child." The chorus is in its 16th year of performing in the East Bay and successfully toured this summer in the United Kingdom. Requested donation is $15-$20, with children 10 and under admitted free. Tickets can be reserved by calling Peace Lutheran Church, 3201 Camino Tassajara, Danville, at 648-7000. The Interstake Center is located at 4770 Lincoln Ave. in Oakland.
