Friends give library $33,000

Friends of the Danville Library co-presidents Connie Lieske and Marge Taylor recently presented a check in the amount of $33,000 to Danville branch librarian Seng Lovan. The funds were raised by Friends volunteers through sales in the used book store inside the library, their quarterly gigantic three-day book sale events, memberships, donations and special fundraising events.

Donating slightly used books for resale makes it all possible, say the Friends of the Danville Library, and they ask people to keep in mind that all donations and contributions to the Friends are tax deductible. Call the book store at 837-4455.
