Cru's Crushers become champs in Nevada

The Danville Cru's Crushers showed Nevada a little bit about California baseball, winning the U10 Boys USSSA Sanctioned Carson City Monster Baseball Tournament over the weekend. Crushers not only battled the long drive, late night arcades, 100 degree temps and windstorms but also won on the field against the Reno Muck Dawgs, Carson City Silver Bullets and the Redding Vipers. Down one run in the bottom of the last inning, the Crushers reached the championship on a bases loaded, 2 out, 2 strike walk off double to center field by Kevin Velo.

The Championship game was just as exciting as Jason Schwartz crossed home plate scoring the winning run on a scorching line drive walk off a single by Dawson Vasconi in the bottom of the last inning. Conner Bruce, Davis Bender, Kevn Velo, Jason Schwartz, Will Dennis, Blake Klein, Dante Peretti and Tyler Larson pitched while Conner Binning, Dominic Pericin and Conner Kennedy came up with clutch fielding plays.

Team members are Conner Binning, Conner Bruce, Dante Peretti, Davis Bender, Kevin Velo, Dominic Pericin, Will Dennis, Tyler Larson, Dawson Vasconi, Conner Kennedy, Jason Schwartz and Blake Klein and coach Matt Crudale.
