A baby boy named Edward Biberman was born in 1904 in Philadelphia to a dressmaking magnate, originally from Kiev.

Sonja was one of my favorite students in my sculpture classes in Walnut Creek, and became a wonderful friend as well. She is missed, but lived a full and valuable life, an inspiration to all of us. It was my pleasure and honor to be her friend and teacher. Andrée Thompson
