What should be the role of LAFCO in our corridor??

Original post made by Hal Bailey, Alamo, on Sep 16, 2009

Dear Gina C. Allen,

Thank you for focusing commentary on issues in our region and removing the pulpit of a handful that would distract consideration of issues.

We understand, as a region, the state role of LAFCO in defining our county and city boundaries, but we have not considered the commissioners' expertise in joining communities in defining government responsibility. LAFCO, County, community and neighborhoods have joined in contact beyond the politics of county districts to determine just how such interaction and integration works. Counsel for cities and communities have joined the creation of real results for incorporation, annexation and spheres of influence.

The results are in the hands of citizens and a sincere effort by all parties to find resolve. You have joined that effort to find resolve.

Thank YOU!!
