Danville Council to discuss open seat

The recent death of Danville Town Councilman Mike Shimansky has left a void in town leadership. And his fellow members have only a month to see that his vacant position is filled.

Instead of wasting money with an election, how about appointing Mark Curtis to serve out the remainder of the term. Mark Curtis is extremely well respected, is bipartisan, and was a friend of the late Mike Shimansky. It would be an appropriate tribute to Mr. Shimansky and his family and friends to appoint Mr. Curtis, and Mr. Curtis would do an excellent job in serving the town.

I think mark Curtis is a no brainer he would be perfect for that job.

Mark Curtis would make a great candidate. He is normal nice guy and would make logical decisions. We need someone who is buisness focused

I agree with the recommendations. Mark Curtis seems to be a great choice.
