Those popular 'Take Us Along' photos

Original post made on Dec 26, 2009

The Danville Weekly ran a popular feature called "Take Us Along" before it halted its print edition in October: Readers would take our publication on their vacations and send us photos to share in the paper. We have a backlog of these photos, which we run online periodically. [Web Link Here are a few].

So glad to see the "Take Us Along" included again. It has been a while since the last one was run. It's so much fun to see where our community neighbors are traveling. The Danville Weekly has covered much of the world already. I really miss your print edition, but this is a great way to still share the photos sent in.

Where are the other pictures?

I sent a picture taken in Mongolia and I am sure there are many others. I packed the newspaper carefully, put it in my coat and put up with a horse that almost threw me.

I love the "Take Us Along" pictures. So Please show the other pictures!

Hi Betty,

Thank you for your comment. We have received a lot of travel pictures when the paper was still in print. We are going to run all of the pictures, but there are 100+ still waiting to run. So please keep reading!

Thanks,

We sent in a photo from May 2008 when we traveled to the Yukon on an Alaskan Cruise with Princess. It was never run, either. Are you still going to show photos from that long ago?
