In honor of Memorial Day, Stan Wharton sought Streetwise responses from some local veterans at the American Legion Post 246 meeting at the Museum of the San Ramon Valley. Dear Emily and Stan,
That is a very unusual question no matter what day is being celebrated. For those that served in WAR the memories are difficult.
It is important to remember our family, friends and all that have served us in important ways on Memorial Day. I would add one further thought that we celebrate one world in peace with humanity and justice for all. It remains only a goal for celebration but should guide each of us in our commitment to global community, humanity and economy.
