"Promiscuous Shooting", what an interesting choice of words to describe the shooting that took place at the Sycamore Homes community clubhouse. Why aren't the police talking about the incident? Are they trying to cover something up because things like this don't happen in Danville. Has anyone contacted the Sycamore Homes clubhouse to confirm if there was actually a teen party or is it easier to call the gathering an "alledged teen party". We need to be thankful that no one was injured, but the next time the outcome could be different.

The police cannot talk openly about the case because it would jeopardize the prosecution of the alleged guilty parties. It's no more complicated than that.

Just a nice little teenage party with 80 people and guns. Wonder where "out of the area" is located?

Let the police do their thing, and hopefully the shooter will get a jail or juvenile hall sentence long enough to have an impact.
I had thought whoever rented the clubhouse had to be part of the neighborhood within the HOA area. Apparently I was wrong. So my question is what idiot - and I emphasize the word IDIOT - from the HOA decided this group was kosher to rent to? Whoever it was needs their name published, and needs to be removed from their position immediately as they are clearly challenged in the judgment portion of their brain. If people within this neighborhood, not far from where we live, decided it was okay to rent to people from outside Danville or their immediate area, then they need to change their rules.

It was not only a shooting, a local kid riding his bike home was kicked, beaten and items stolen from him on Old Orchard. All related to that party. There should not be any function that goes past 9:00P.M. at that club house. That will stop this from happening again.

I think they should cancel all underage parties at the Grange. The last one had too many drunk teenagers stumbling out of it. Are the parents that rent the building for their teenager and friends aware of their liability?

Liability? If you remember earlier posts concerning teenage drinking, some Daville parents actually thinks it's OK to supply alcohol to their teenagers and even allow their children and their friends to drink at parites at their homes.
