Original post made by Hal, Alamo, on Sep 17, 2010

Dear Dolores,

Alamo neighborhood and community groups will gather at Yellow Wood Friday morning between 9 and 11 to be part of a professional YouTube filming. Over the years, many neighborhood and community groups have gathered at Yellow Wood as the emergent town hall for our community and producers want to show how such a gathering place important to Alamo.

Your readers are invited to be part of the community today.

Dear Dolores,

Yellow Wood this morning, like many days, is a place where Alamo meets as a community. As I saw neighborhoods, community groups, CCC-MAC Alamo and many others from diverse groups arrive and sit in conversation, I realized that Yellow Wood is our community CENTER. It is where diverse perspectives meet and conversation flows freely.

I can think of nowhere else where such daily community gathering occurs in Alamo or our region. More importantly I wondered how Alamo neighborhood and community groups can continue to appreciate such a community CENTER in the Alamo business district? It is clear that the many commercial and retail operations profit from Yellow Wood's attraction to the Plaza.

How would your readers' expand Yellow Wood's importance as a community gathering center for the Alamo region and an attraction to Alamo's business district?

Anyone?
