Alamo Cemetery linked to new, powerful district

Original post made by Hal, another community, on Sep 29, 2010

Dear Dolores,

REF: Web Link

We now understand that our reverence of our local cemetery is part of an overall design to control such properties under the new and powerful cemetery district somewhere east of here. We trust that Ms. Piepho will tell all district 3 residents how important our combined burial systems is to our county and, somehow, CCLAFCO.

Should be an amazing disclosure!

Dear Dolores,

I have sent an apology to a local resident that was offended by the humor of the Alamo Cemetery somehow being made part of a powerful district led by Mr. David Piepho. This neighbor was concerned that such humor could become real under Supervisor Piepho's firings and reorganizations of Alamo advisory committees and other CCC District III agencies.

With the volume of coverage of Ms. Piepho's recent actions increasing in subscriber news services including BANG, the supervisor's actions are drawing political attention in this campaign season. Various news services are reporting state and federal review of CCC-BOS actions and whether appropriate public notice and review was offered prior to actions.

Good natured humor concerning nepotism that places Mr. David Piepho as Alamo Police Chief or Chair of a new combined Contra Costa County Cemetery District must give way to serious consideration of what communities' will and interests must be served by Supervisor Piepho and CCC-BOS.

It is time for serious consideration and commentary by your readers, please.

Here I thought you were going to take the editorial leadership to task for ignoring this catastrophe in our midst -- literally hundreds dead, with many more certain to suffer a similar fate!

WHAT has become of the Fifth Estate?
