CNET scandal seeps into San Ramon Police Department

San Ramon police Officer Louis Lombardi, a former Contra Costa County Narcotic Enforcement Team officer, was arrested this morning at 9 a.m., Police Chief Scott Holder announced at a press conference Wednesday afternoon. Lombardi was charged with two counts of possession, grand theft, conspiracy and accessory, aiding and abetting.

Where are all the folks that were touting the benefits of having a standalone police department now? Roz, care to comment? (I'd read your blog but don't know where it is.) Another sad day for law enforcement no matter who you are. Sadly, a couple of individuals with broken moral compasses make being a cop in this county very difficult right now. I trust the other 99% of SRPD are honest just as I trust the deputies working for DPD. God bless you all as you weather the storm.
