For the first time, at Las Positas, signing up for classes the semester, each of my children one on her second year, were wait listed on 3 out of 4 classes. It was shocking and really, we had to figure it out ourselves. The way we handled it was sign up for more classes than normal and hope for the best. You can always drop a class if you have more than you wanted (if they all would become active, which did not). Be ready to show up for a class you remain wait listed on, because it may become available. This did happen to one of my kids. I don't like the "wait listed" idea and as it may be easy for the school, it is ridiculous for the students, not to mention the families behind those students! Talk about UnDo Stress!
